I completely agree that context is really important for song lyrics, especially for a theme song of a game, and in this case, a prophecy. As you had surmised, many (including myself) had to deal with a contextless translation of it all before the game came out. I had to revise it several times as more info became available, but don't think I ever got to finalizing it.

I quite like the more informative and organized break down of the song you made too. Very easy to read compared to what wordpress gives me.
