Canon Pairings, by Hair Color

It has come to my attention that the children characters have a "default" hair color per their official art.

Furthermore, the potential fathers of FE13 all have (nearly?)* unique hair colors, exempting Robin (who will be dealt with shortly).

You know what this means?

Ship wars!!

Preliminaries -- Fathers by hair color

*nearly unique -- As you can tell in avatar creation, you have like 20 slightly different shades of hair color to choose from. However, I'm not sure that children inherit all the exact nuanced differences, and furthermore, the resources available to me don't quite allow me to differentiate between these subtle differences. So, I've lumped some characters together.

I've ignored potential fathers/mothers for Morgan for this list.

(Peachy) Red - Gregor
Auburn - Ricken
Orange - Gaius
Blonde - Vaike, Libra (slightly ashier shade?)
Blue - Chrom
Black - Lon'qu
Dark Brown (/black?) - Kellam
Deep Brown - Frederick
Lighter Brown - Stahl
Gray - Virion
White - Henry

Okay, now that we have this rainbow, time to match it up!
Owain - Blonde: Lissa / Vaike or Libra [Breeding Lissa with either one and comparing the results might allow for homing in on this!]
Inigo - Gray: Olivia/Virion
Brady - Blonde: Maribelle / Vaike or Libra [Incidentally, his hair's a little brighter and less ashy than Owain's, which suggests Lissa/Libra and Maribelle/Vaike to me]
Kjele - Deep brown? Dark brown?: Sully / Kellam or Frederick
Cynthia - Ashen light brown: None of Sumia's non-Avatar suitors match (Chrom, Frederick, Gaius, Henry) which means that Cynthia must be the spawn of an ashen-haired Avatar. Perhaps not coincidentally, Sumia's hair color matches that of Morgan.
Severa - Orange: Cordelia/Gaius. It's worth noting that her official art looks red instead. It's possible this is a result of Cordelia/Ricken, or possibly a trick of the lighting. Or this could be like the weird version of Nanna and parentage ambiguity. *shot*
Gerome - Peachy Red: Cherche/Gregor
Yarne - White: Panne/Henry
Laurent - Auburn? (it's hard to tell with his hat's shadow): Miriel/Ricken
Noire - Dark brown? Black?: Tharja/Kellam or Tharja/Lon'qu
Nah - Light green: What the fuck. Another Avatar baby, perhaps?

4eva alone: Stahl, and one of Lon'qu, Kellam,, or Frederick.

The presence of Nah gives me a little doubt that this was fully intended (as well as the relative wtf-iness of some of the suggested pairings), while the hair colors of Sumia/Avatar spawn seem too neat to be coincidental. So I'm not sure what to make of this, but it was fun.

(Maybe some children are haploids and take after their mom -- clearly not all of them, eg Inigo, but hey.)

I'm assuming(/hoping) the official art hair colors were meant to be less of a pairing indicator and more just...whichever color choice the artist liked best, if only because I don't know whether to laugh or cry at some of those pairs, but this was a fun list to look over.

(Side note: I spent like an hour yesterday going 'huh! Owain has Ricken's hair color! What a coinci--OOOOHHH" /slow Emma).

The "hair color of the father" concept intrigues me because I have seen non-pairing art that features the second-gen kids. I haven't had the chance to see if they correspond to their "default" hair colors, however.

[Yarne - Brown: Note, Yarne's hair color is always brown regardless of Panne's husband, which I hear has led to rumors that Panne was unfaithful. ]

Tarne actually has a patch in the middle of his forehead! I only noticed this because it was orange in mine and I had Panne/Gaius

In official art, his patch is white, meaning Henry. c:

Did red-haired Severa spawn via parthenogenesis?

The implied pairings in this are so. Damn. Weird.
